Bridgette's Pinwheels

Soon after I finished Leister's Pinwheels, I started another one just like it only using 1930's pastels. This quilt is my 6th quilt and was made for Bridgette's (now our Daughter-in-Law) College Graduation. This pastel quilt with pinwheels and feathers has a piped binding, that adds just a pretty touch of detail. It was the first try at piped binding, and I really feel it helps to square up the quilt before sewing binding on. The quilt was finished in 1999. The pattern came from "Quilts from the Smithsonian" by Mimi Dietrich.
