Empty Nest
74" X 92"
"Empty Nest" was started when our youngest son, Rich left home to go off to college at Indiana University. It is made up of 221 tiny pieced 3 3/8" Ohio Stars using reproduction fabrics. It is surrounded with a border of trapuntoed triangles, and was machine quilted on my Bernina 1230 and took six months to make. It is my 9th. quilt made for our son, Rich, and has a handwritten letter sewn to the quilt, with a special message to him. It measures 74" X 92" and has a Hobbs Heirloom batt. Pattern from "Legacies of Love" by Susan H. Garman. Completed Feb. 12, 2001.
