My pleasure in quilting comes from being able to share something from the hands and heart with those we love. I thank God for having blessed my husband Les and I with three beautiful sons, three daughter-in-laws, two grandsons and three granddaughters! It was for the oldest of these three sons that I started (on my own with no lessons) that first and only hand quilted baby quilt made in pink back in 1976. After not quilting for twenty years, in 1996 I learned about machine quilting from Harriet Hargrave and was fortunate to have a class with her. I promised that first little pink quilt to our first granddaughter, and nearly 30 years later that little pink quilt now belongs to Ava Elizabeth. Children are truly gifts from God and so are the talents we are all blessed with!
